WHAT IS THE SERPIS VIVO PROJECT
Due to its strategic location and historical value, we want to develop in the building a privately driven project that can also cooperate with public initiatives, thereby creating a shared community interest. This would be done in two ways: 1- Turning the building into a space for activities, initiatives, and private events while at the same time converting part of its rooms into a Museum or an interpretation and information center that reflects the industrial and natural heritage of Villalonga. 2- Taking advantage of the Mill’s unique location, which links the town of Villalonga with the two paths leading to the Greenway, to create a new comprehensive project for the area and enhance the spaces that connect Villalonga with the river and the Greenway—an underused area with great tourism and recreational potential.
WHAT WE PROPOSE A key place for the social, cultural, sports, tourism, and economic development of the community. It is rare to find a place that was abandoned yet holds such an important and strategic treasure for a town. We all pass by it and always wonder why nothing is ever done with this place... Well, the time has finally come!!!
MUSEUM: INTERPRETATION CENTER OF THE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE OF THE SERPIS RIVER The building itself, with its remarkable infrastructure, is an incredible example of how industrial development once looked in the area. Our aim is to create the only Industrial Heritage Interpretation Center in the region.
EVENTS The Mill will be a beautiful place for hosting events such as parties, weddings, and private or corporate gatherings.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES The Mill will always be an open place for collaboration with any group that needs it; its location makes it ideal as a meeting point for all types of social groups.
AUDIO RECORDING STUDIO We will create a recording studio that local music groups and voice artists can use to produce demos or professional projects.
GYM AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CENTER We will create a physical activity center of over 700 m2, and most importantly, it will become the largest private Martial Arts center in Spain. It will be a training hub that will attract people from all over the world.
WORKSHOP FOR INDUSTRIAL AND ARTISTIC TRAINING AND PRODUCTION There will be space for different workshops proposed by the community such as painting, arts, woodworking, photography, and video.
TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER Its strategic location sits at the fork between the town and the Greenway, offering the perfect opportunity to create an information point for everyone wishing to enjoy the experience of discovering the spectacular landscapes around the Serpis River.
MULTIPURPOSE CULTURAL SPACE The mill is full of history and culture, which is why it will include spaces for exhibitions, music, meeting rooms, and any social event arising in the town or region, whether private or public.
RURAL LODGE Thanks to its incredible setting, it is perfectly suited to host groups seeking to connect with rural environments.
